Review: D.O.D & Friends @ ADE 2018

Now that ADE 2018 came to an end, it’s time to review the hottest parties of this unforgettable week! Let’s start with the D.O.D & Friends event.

D.O.D invited his friends to play a club night at the Martin’s Social Club at Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam on Wednesday, October 17. Him and Axtone brought a massive line-up with them! Not less then 10 DJs were going on and coming off the turntables. Next to D.O.D also Norii, Magnificence, Deniz Koyu, Moksi, Sander van Doorn, Shapov and Corey James were spinning that night.

But there was still one “super special unannounced guest” to be disclosed. To all our surprise, it was Laidback Luke that took over the turntables towards the end of the night.

The night was opened by Magnificence, followed by Deniz Koyu, who played a lot of his classics that he released on Axtone a couple of years back. After that, Moksi (clothed with their typical fishing hats) took over and did their own thing. Moksi’s set was followed by the star of the night. During D.O.D’s set, the atmosphere was at its peak – he infected the whole crowd with his banging future jack sounds! It was just right to hand it over to Sander van Doorn during the sounds of “Let It Go“, their collaboration track out on Sander’s own Doorn Records.

Shapov and Corey James played a very enjoyable set afterwards as well – before the already mentioned special guest Laidback Luke took over the decks, who played both his Axtone classics and new stuff from his label Mixmash Records. The night was closed by Norii.

All the proceeds of this night were donated to the charity mind – for better mental health. It’s fantastic to see that D.O.D wants to raise awareness of such an important issue that many people have to cope with.

We from Electric Line had a wonderful night at D.O.D & Friends at ADE 2018. Check out the official aftermovie from D.O.D’s Facebook page below!
