Review: Magnetic Festival – Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Prague, Czech Republic

The Electric Line team witnessed the Magnetic Festival which took place in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, last weekend. The main headliner was the iconic swedish duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso. Additionally, many other artists took the stage that night – with one little surprise!

This one-night-festival took place at the PVA Expo Praha hall on May 11, 2018. The night was opened up by the Israeli DJ and producer duo Teamworx who already caught our attention with their collabs with Nicky Romero, Dannic and Corey James! After them, there was a change in schedeule: instead of CID (as posted in our Preview to this festival, read it here), who couldn’t make it to the festival due to health reasons, the Hungarian duo Stadiumx took the stage – and it was a great replacement! With a mix of their current and earlier sounds, they made the crowd go wild!

After them, one of our team’s favorite came onto the stage, Third Party! We’ve already covered their unique LIIIVE performance in Liverpool around a month ago, you can read it up here. And their performance wasn’t any different than the premiere of their new live show. Of course, the DJ booth wasn’t as spectacular; nevertheless, no matter whether Jonnie and Harry played their iconic classics like Everyday of My Life or upcoming stuff from their eagerly awaited sophomore album – the crowd cheered at every drop.

Third Party were followed by young Dutch superstar DJ Julian Jordan and the german duo Jewelz & Sparks. Their high-energetic sets set the crowd’s mood just right for the main act of the night, the iconic swedish duo and former Swedish House Mafia members, Axwell Λ Ingrosso.

Lots of joy during all the sets at Magnetic Festival, like here with Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Third Party

The duo started also at a high-energetic level, opening up the set with an ID followed by their track How Do You Feel Right Now. Of course, they didn’t miss out on playing their current successful singles More Than You Know and Dreamer. They also thought of their earlier sounds and played tracks like One, Greyhound, Antidote, Calling or In My Mind – in new mixes and mashups! They closed their magical set with the iconic track Reload. Their set was accompanied by CO2 cannons and silver confetti through various drops and the crowd enjoyed every second of it! You can find the full tracklist over at 1001Tracklists here.

But the party didn’t stop there! The Australian bounce representer Will Sparks, the Dutch Barong Family veteran Mike Cervello and the Czech local John Culter kept the energy level high until 6 am!

To sum it up: Magnetic was an amazing one-day-festival with a great stage production and lots of highlights! If you enjoyed our review and felt bad that you weren’t there – don’t worry: there are already tickets available for the next Magnetic Festival! It takes place on December 14, 2018 and it’s happening again at PVA Expo Praha. Plus, the first act was announced already! It’s none other than Barong Family member Moksi! The official Facebook event link is here and tickets and merch are available here.

The next Magnetic Festival is taking place on December 14, 2018.
