‘‘We need new stuff to hear, new inspirations, new music, new genres‘‘
THE STAGE, Liverpool – April 1, 2017
THE STAGE was a night that will never be forgotten. It was the biggest Release show to date – it was held in Liverpool and hosted by Third Party. Many artists played alongside them at this event, namely Sebjak, Tom Staar, the trio Sentinel, Corey James and Pete K. We had the wonderful opportunity to interview the latter one.
Pete K talks about the music style of 2017, his future and Third Party’s label “Release Records“.
You started producing music at an early age of 17 in 2010. Which track of yours are you the proudest of and why?
That’s a hard question. I like every track I made but the track I am probably most proud of is „Beyond“. It got a lot of support from big artists and it was really cool to see the artist playing my own track that I made in my bedroom studio. It felt really nice.

The Portugal Trance Community called you „the progressive wonder kid“. Can we expect new progressive music in 2017?
Of course, I think 2017 is the year where we should start producing progressive even more. The market is saturated with EDM stuff – that is kind of dying right now. We need new stuff to hear, new inspirations, new music, new genres. I think right now it’s a really good point to start.
We heard that something is coming on Release Records. How does it sound? Is there any news about it?
Their is a lot coming on Release Records this year. The Third Party guys are really nice. They are trying to get me into the family and push me as an artist. I am really grateful for this chance to be with them and play on their Release shows. Hopefully, you will hear a lot of music from me on their label this year.
Could you imagine to produce a different kind of style in the future?
I’ve already produced tracks of other styles but I just haven’t released them. I’m keeping them for myself for now but might release them in the future. Why not.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Ten years?! I don‘t know. I just see myself playing in some really nice places – maybe at a beach or at a club. Just a place where people come for my music, enjoy the moments and just share it around the world.
